The domestic content clause for pipelines seems to be hampering work in the oil & gas industry
8Line pipe manufacturers have begun demanding amendments in tender conditionalites and they go on to hold up award of tenders even if they are not in a position to fulfill their requirements.
8And for every tender, the industry has to run to the steel ministry for exemptions, which are usually not forthcoming, and even if they are, they come much too late.
