8Project Name: Greenfield Thermal Power Station

8Project Description: The owner is planning to construct a 1600 MW (2*800 MW) greenfield super-critical thermal power plant. EC has been accorded on May 2016. The owner has awarded BTG and civil package to BHEL and LOA has been issued on June 2017. Geo-technical work is under progress. Work at the site is getting delayed due to legal wrangles over land acquisition. PFC has already sanctioned an amount of Rs. 9000 crorer for funding the project. The owner will come out with a BoP package and short lead items soon.

8Project Description: The owner is planning to replace the existing HP rotor in the turbine which has served nearly 25 years. It will procure a new HP rotor without waiting for the old rotor to be repaired. Administrative approval is awaited, subsequently after which the procurement team of the owner will come out with a bid for the new rotor.
8Project Event: RFQ for purchase of new turbine rotor is expected by Q1 2018.
