8Project Description: A Fertilizer company is planning to reduce the energy consumption of Ammonia and Urea units from 8.20 Gcal/MT to 7.70 Gcal/MT and 5.79 Gcal/MT to 5.33 Gcal/MT respectively In India. The capacity of the ammonia plant is 3500 MTPD and the urea capacity is 6060 MTPD. There is also as 30 MW of Captive Power Plant in the complex. 8Project Description: The owner is scheduled to install FGDs for Units 3 and 4 at it's 2000 MW (4x500 MW) thermal power plant. The company is expected to float tenders for the same. At present, feasibility studies and phasing plans are underway. The project is expected to kick off in late 2022. Sources said that, the proposal for environmental clearance for an energy saving project in an ammonia-urea complex is likely to be granted in March 2018, and the tender for an LSTK contractor is likely to be finalized in February 2018.
8The present capacity of its existing complex is 25 lakh MTPA of Urea, 6 lakh MTPA of Complex fertilizers and 1.6 lakh MT of Industrial Chemicals every year.

8A lot of them find the initial cost of acquiring LPG and the renewal cost to be far too high
8Then again, all of them say that the distribution infrastructure is not in place to ensure time refills.
